Customer Pain Points and Solutions

Bonded warehousing solves three problems for exporters shipping to the EU and US: VAT deferral on unsold inventory, cross-docking for multi-supplier consolidation, and temperature-controlled storage for regulated goods. Without bonded storage, import VAT is payable immediately upon entry into the destination customs zone.

Pain Point: VAT Cash Flow

Goods imported into EU or US customs zones trigger immediate VAT or duty payment. For exporters holding inventory in destination markets before sale, this locks up working capital and increases per-unit cost.

Solution: Bonded Zone Storage

Meicheng operates bonded warehouses in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Ningbo with 50,000 m² total capacity. Goods stored in the bonded zone are not subject to import VAT until they exit the zone for domestic sale or are re-exported to a third country.

Pain Point: Multi-Supplier Consolidation

Exporters sourcing from multiple Chinese factories face fragmented shipments, each with separate freight and documentation costs. Consolidating at origin reduces per-unit logistics cost but requires warehouse capacity.

Solution: CFS Consolidation

Meicheng receives cargo from multiple suppliers at the bonded warehouse, inspects and sorts by destination, and consolidates into shared containers. Each shipper receives a consolidation list with HBL number and CBM allocation.

Buyer FAQ

What is the minimum storage volume for bonded warehousing?: Minimum storage area is 1 pallet position (approximately 1 m²). There is no upper limit. Storage fees are calculated per CBM per day or per pallet per month, depending on the cargo profile.
How long can goods remain in bonded storage?: Goods can remain in bonded storage indefinitely under Chinese customs regulations. However, goods not exported or sold domestically within 2 years may require customs review. Meicheng monitors storage duration and alerts clients before review deadlines.
What packaging and labeling services are included?: Pick and pack, labeling, kitting, FBA prep (including Amazon FNSKU labeling, bubble wrap, and palletizing), and repacking are available. Custom labeling for retail-ready packaging can be arranged.
What payment terms are available?: Warehouse storage fees are billed monthly. 30% advance by T/T with 70% balance against monthly statement. For regular clients, monthly settlement with net-30 terms is available subject to credit review.
Can you provide inventory samples or inspection reports?: Real-time inventory reports are accessible through the online system. Physical inspection reports with photo documentation can be provided on request. Monthly stock reconciliation reports are issued to each client.
Can we use our own brand or logo on warehouse labels?: Yes. Labels and packaging can be customized with the client's brand, logo, or SKU system. FBA prep is performed to Amazon FNSKU specifications or the client's private label requirements.
Do you offer OEM warehousing and fulfillment?: For OEM clients, Meicheng provides neutral warehousing with blind fulfillment. Cargo is stored, processed, and dispatched without disclosing factory identity. Documents can be issued under the buyer's company name.
